The Z™ Premieres at National Association of the Deaf Conference

(New Orleans, LA) – CSDVRS unveiled its newest product line, The Z™ videophones, at the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) conference held in New Orleans on July 7-11. By 1 p.m. on the last day of the conference, over 60% of the 1,500 conference participants had placed orders for The Z™.

“We are thrilled,” said Chris Wagner, CSDVRS Vice President of Marketing . “We knew The Z™ would be popular but even this exceeded our expectations. The positive response confirms our belief that our product is tops in the market, and that CSDVRS offers products that best serve our customers.”

CSDVRS worked on The Z™, a videophone designed for high-quality video relay services (VRS), for nearly twelve months prior to its release. There are three different versions of The Z™ to meet the various communications needs of deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

“We researched the market and learned that not every user needs the same videophone or features, so we developed three different types of videophones,” said Andy May, Chief Marketing and Development Officer. “The products include a dynamic software-based videophone that is free, an incredible low-cost videophone that is perfect for everyone and a very high performance videophone for the high-volume business VRS user.”

At the conference, the CSDVRS booth was busy every hour of each day with special conference-only prices for the videophones. Well over 1,000 units were ordered, and people were seen marveling over the user-friendly, clear features.

“We had over 10 people working all day just to keep up with the customers” said Tim Rarus, Vice President of Sales. “Each customer was so impressed with The Z™ Model 340 - especially its small size, which is ideal for portability, and its ease of use.”

CSDVRS also provided a private demonstration of The Z™ Model 150 to over 600 people. This videophone, which was available for a one-time conference special of $199.00, is the best quality available in  videophone technology. By the end of the week, over a hundred had been ordered.

“What a week!” said Sean Belanger, CSDVRS CEO. “CSDVRS worked for months to prepare for the conference and the introduction of The Z™. Our work has paid off, because we believe we’ve introduced products that meet the needs of our customers. We’re grateful to all of the customers who visited our exhibition and demonstration.”
